Docs Blazin Gal Best In $32,663 Ron Moosman Memorial Non-Winners Of Two



OGDEN, UT–APRIL 21, 2024–Second-fastest qualifier Docs Blazin Gal returned Sunday to defeat fastest qualifier Jg Corona Virus by a neck in the $32,663 Ron Moosman Memorial Non-Winners of Two (not black type) at Weber Downs.


Jockey Jesus Valenzuela rode Docs Blazin Gal over the 330 yards in :16.657 seconds to equal a 101 speed index with a 5 mph crosswind. It was the third win in four career starts for the daughter of multiple stake sire Docs Best Card.


Trainer Kylie Valenzuela saddled the Wyoming homebred for owner-breeder Pedro Mena. Out of the First Moonflash mare Blazin Mean, Docs Blazin Gal earned $13,317 to bring her bankroll total to $28,744.  The filly was second in the 2023 Hadley-Gilles Futurity at Weber.


Last year's Elko Intermountain Futurity runner-up Jg Corona Virus earned $5,552 for his second-place effort today. Julio De La Torre had the riding call for trainer Jorge Estrada, Jr. Israel Juarez and Sixto Garcia are the owner-breeders of the Utah-bred daughter of multiple stakes sire Glock from the Separatist mare Tat Team Usa. She has earned $25,812 in six career starts.


Edwin Rosales' Riddle finished one length off the leaders to earn $3,919 for third. Trainer Jose Gomez named jockey Cesar Moreno to ride the Zoomin For Bux 5-year-old from the Royal Shake Em mare Go Go Getter. Riddle has banked $24,714 in 21 career starts.  Hayden Brothers Ranch is the breeder.


Completing the field were Lollygagger, Steph Ann, Tempt The Lane, Rtm My Turn, Code Name, Absolut Keerash, and Vvr Easyonthelipps
